Kinki Sharyo shows appreciation for CCT's involvement in Dubai Metro

After several months of successful operation of Dubai Metro, Kinki Sharyo have awarded a Certificate of Appreciation, together with a train replica, to CCT InfoTech for services provided during the design, production and delivery of rolling stock for the Metro.

Since opening to passenger service in September 2009, Dubai Metro has carried more than 10 million commuters and tourists, making a significant contribution to reduction of road traffic congestion in the city, according to RTA Rail Agency.

With the opening of additional stations this month, the Red Line is almost complete and the Green Line is scheduled for completion in August this year.

Kowloon Southern Link

The Kowloon Southern Link, an extension of the West Rail Line, has opened to passengers in Hong Kong.

CCT InfoTech (Hong Kong) Ltd. was appointed Independent Software Safety Assessor for KSL's Main Control and Communications Systems.

CCT Assessors conducted assessments on the software developed by Siemens and their subcontractors throughout a two year project period and recently completed final assessments to declare the software fit for service on the new rail link, having achieved the required safety integrity level.

Taiwan Airport Express Line

MKH J.B Consortium, Lead by Marubeni Corporation are contracted to design and construct a high speed rail link between Taipei City and Taoyuan Airport (previously named CKS Airport Line). The scope of the Project includes all railway operating systems, rolling stock, power supplies, signaling and communications.

Marubeni have appointed E-Consult International Limited, supported by Bit Tips Asia Limited, to provide Electro-magnetic Compatibility (EMC) services, the primary objective of which is to demonstrate compatibility between all electrical and electronic systems and equipment being supplied to operate the railway, as well as compatibility with equipment in the environment surrounding the railway

Palm Jumeirah Monorail Opens in Dubai

The Palm Jumeirah Transit System (PJT monorail) opened to passenger service on 5th May 2009.

PJT monorail is a $US 381 million project with trains running the full length of Palm Jumeirah man-made island, from Gateway station at the Dubai coast and Atlantis hotel and marine park. The Palm Jumeirah owners, Nakheel plan to extend the PJT monorail to connect with the Dubai Metro.

E-Consult International Limited, supported by CCT InfoTech (New Zealand) Limited, Lloyd's Register and BitTips Asia Limited were appointed Consultants by Marubeni, the PJT Main Contractor, to provide Systems and Software Assurance, EMC and other related services throughout the 3 year design and implementation project. Consultancy support will continue through the first year of operation of the monorail, to provide demonstration of reliability, availability and maintainability, together with any other support that may be required by Marubeni.

Manila LRT Line 1 Extension - Technical and Advisory Services

In May 2009, E-Consult International Limited was awarded a contract by Miescor-GTC Joint Venture (M-GTC JV), the contractor for Manila Line 1 Extension, Electrification Works, to provide Technical and Advisory Services.

In providing these services, E-Consult is supported by CCT InfoTech (New Zealand) Limited, RiskHouse Management Limited and BitTips Asia Limited.

The existing MRT Line 1 is 15-km, 18-station, on elevated structure along the full length of the line. The extension is 5.6 km of elevated line with 3 stations.

M-GTC JV are responsible for design, manufacture, construction, installation and commissioning of Electrification works, comprising Power Supply, Overhead Catenary System, Electrical and Mechanical Services.

CCT is appointed Safety Assessor - Software for Hong Kong Light Rail, new rolling stock, under an agreement with Atkins China, who are the Independent Safety Assessor (ISA) appointed by MTR Corporation.

CCT prepared and delivered a training course on Software Assurance (based on CENELEC / IEC and ISO standards) to Atkins personnel from their Beijing, Shanghai and Hong Kong offices.

CCT InfoTech (NZ) Ltd and Atkins China Ltd. have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to collaborate on identified target projects within the Asia Pacific region. In particular, CCT will promote Atkins regional rail systems engineering and assurance capabilities in New Zealand and seek other opportunities for participation by Atkins in New Zealand projects through CCT.

CCT New Zealand has been commissioned by Lloyd's Register Asia to provide training in Software Assurance to rolling stock systems suppliers in Seoul Korea.
